Surfside Beach is a small beach community located south of Houston and southwest of Galveston. Fishing, swimming, surfing, beach combing, and just plain relaxing are amoung the things you can do on a laid back Texas beach. There are several restaurants with great food, RV parks and surf shops. The Jetties is a good fishing spot. And beach houses can be rented from several realty companies. There is also a small museum upstairs in the court house, which is the old historic Coast Guard building.
Now including horseback riding on the beach. Surfside or Quintana beaches. One or two people can ride with a guide for 1 to 2 hours. For beginners with some riding experience to advanced riders. A guide is along to insure a safe and pleasant ride, and maybe answer questions you might have about Surfside, the beach, or even horses.
